Paintspray booths need to be supplied with filtered air during the spray-paint operation. Filtered air helps avoiding corrosion and visually perceptible surface imperfections.

Pre-filtration is done by filter mats or pocket filters in the booth's air-conditioning system, while fine-filtration is done by the F5 ceiling filter.
